This elegant matched pair of classical Greco-Roman style porcelain figurines by Andrea by Sadek features two graceful figures in flowing robes accented with turquoise enamel and fine gold trim. Greek/Roman Muses Goddesses. Not certain, but believed to be Mythology Arachne and Hebe Arachne (Greek for spider) in Greek mythology, was a skilled weaver and Hebe, goddess of youth. One figure holds a chalice while seated beside a column, while the other stands holding a scroll, evoking classical Roman and Greek symbolism. These finely sculpted decorative porcelain figures were hand painted and produced in Japan during the late 20th century. Their refined neoclassical design and coordinated bases make them ideal for bookshelf, mantel, or study display.
