This elegant matched pair of classical Greco-Roman style porcelain figurines by Andrea by Sadek features two graceful figures in flowing robes accented with turquoise enamel and fine gold trim. Greek/Roman Muses Goddesses. Not certain, but believed to be Mythology Arachne and Hebe Arachne (Greek for spider) in Greek mythology, was a skilled weaver and Hebe, goddess of youth. One figure holds a chalice while seated beside a column, while the other stands holding a scroll, evoking classical Roman and Greek symbolism. These finely sculpted decorative porcelain figures were hand painted and produced in Japan during the late 20th century.
