Jose Santos Guerra Windmill Acrylic Painting 16x14 Signed Framed Chile 1990's
Original Chilean acrylic painting by José Santos Guerra, featuring a bold, highly expressive composition rendered in saturated turquoise blue, red, orange, black, white and deep violet tones.
The painting depicts an imaginative architectural landscape dominated by a large windmill-like form, a dark building or tower, a brilliant circular sun and strongly simplified geometric structures. Heavy black outlines and broad areas of intense color give the work a distinctly Latin American modernist / expressionist character, while the deliberately simplified forms lend it an appealing folk-art quality.
