Qianlong Mark Pink Rose Glaze Sgraffito Dragon Tea Bowl Chinese Vintage 1912-49
Striking vintage Chinese porcelain 4 1/4" footed tea bowl decorated with a rich pink-to-rose exterior and a traditional incised dragon-and-cloud motif. The exterior design features sinuous Chinese Sgraffito dragons among stylized clouds, picked out against the colored ground by the contrasting white porcelain decoration. The interior is left in a clean glossy white glaze, creating an attractive contrast with the highly decorative exterior. The underside bears an iron-red Chinese mark referencing traditional Chinese porcelain production.
Pattern/Motif: Sgraffito dragons surrounded by stylized cloud forms
Mark: Iron-red Qianlong seal mark on base, however we feel it is of a later period. Age - Republic Period (1912 - 1949) mark
