Description and Condition
Antique Ridgways English pottery flask vase from the “Scenes from Coaching Days & Coaching Ways” series. The flattened amber-glazed body features detailed black transfer scenes titled “Paying Toll” and “The Journey’s End,” accented by ornate silver-luster side handles, a silvered neck and silver trim along the base. An unusual decorative form with strong appeal for collectors of English transferware, coaching memorabilia and equestrian antiques.
Good antique condition with overall crazing consistent with age and visible wear to the silver-luster finish, particularly around the rim, handles and base. There is light surface wear and scattered marks from previous use. No major chips, cracks or repairs noted.
