Description and Condition
Antique Ridgways English pottery pitcher from the “Scenes from Coaching Days & Coaching Ways” series. Finished in a rich amber-orange glaze with black transfer decoration, the pitcher features “Henry the Eighth and the Abbot of Reading” on one side and “The George & Vulture at Hitcham” on the reverse. A distinctive piece of early English historical transferware inspired by the coaching roads, inns and characters of England.

Good antique condition with overall crazing and normal surface wear consistent with age. The transfer decoration remains strong and detailed. There is minor wear around the rim and scattered age-related marks. No chips, cracks or repairs noted.
