Vintage Red Velvet Ladies Tilt Hat Pillbox Union Medium 56cm Made USA 1960s

A striking vintage ladies deep red velvet tilt hat with a beautifully simple sculptural silhouette characteristic of mid-century millinery. The rich ruby/burgundy red velvet covers a structured form with a broad, asymmetrical brim designed to sit at an angle across the forehead. The interior is finished with a champagne-colored satin lining and coordinating grosgrain ribbon.
The original label reads “Union Made … In U.S.A.” with identification number F7 289298. I do not see a separate manufacturer's label, so I would list the maker as Unknown rather than treating “Union Made” as a brand.
